Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim

"Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim" In Islam, seeking knowledge is highly emphasized. It is the duty of every Muslim, male or female, to seek knowledge throughout their life. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim."  The Holy Prophet of Allah (S.A.W.) has said: " Atta libul ilm faridhatol kuli muslim." means: "Attainment of knowledge is must for every Muslim." The first guidance given to the mankind in the Qur'an was “Iqra” i.e. to read, recite or proclaim in Surah Alaq Chapter 96. Acquiring knowledge in Islam is not limited to religious studies, but encompasses all fields of study, including science, technology, and medicine. By seeking knowledge, Muslims can understand the world around them and use their knowledge to benefit society. Furthermore, seeking knowledge is a means of getting closer to Allah, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “ Whoever follows a pa...

What happens to the souls in barzakh?

Image
Question: Asfa Umer We are aware that the martyrs are not in the grave, but rather, they are still present among us and still at risk. However, I am curious as to what will happen to people like us who are not martyrs and who pass away naturally. What happens to our soul and where does it go? Does it go to an area known as barzakh, and if so, could you please elaborate on this? Or does it go to an eternal state of dormancy? Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. The existence after this one is far superior to the life here on earth. The joys, sorrows, and experiences of this existence pale in comparison to the afterlife. The moment the spirit leaves the body is when the phenomenon starts. There are two categories at this point in time: the fortunate and the destitute. I The fortunate are treated as monarchs. They are welcomed by hundreds of angels, who surround them in fragrance and radiance. In a pr...

Live in this life as per Al-Qur'an

Recognise that Allah is your lord and master, not only of this world, but of all possible worlds, and that He provides for the world and saves it. So they defeated them by permission of Allah, and David killed Goliath, and Allah gave him the kingship and prophethood and taught him from that which He willed. And if it were not for Allah checking [some] people by means of others, the earth would have been corrupted, but Allah is full of bounty to the worlds.  [Quran, 2:251] Avoid disgracing others. Then, you are those [same ones who are] killing one another and evicting a party of your people from their homes, cooperating against them in sin and aggression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them, although their eviction was forbidden to you. So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? Then what is the recompense for those who do that among you except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of...

UNDERSTANDING OF DEEN

Image
" * O, Allah! Grant me understanding of Deen* " If you make this Dua, Insha Allah (God willing) Allah will open the way for you to understand his deen.  *Knowledge & Understanding*   *إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ* *تَعْقِلُونَ*(2:12)  “ *Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an that you might understand* .” (Al-Baqara, 2:12) Many people have knowledge of the Quran but they may not have the understanding of applying it.    We might interpret it differently or understand different so we need Allah's guidance and tawfeeq along with the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw) to understand His religion.  *Understanding & Tawfeeq*   **وَمَا تَوۡفِيقِىٓ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ‌ۚ*   *and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah*  (Quran Hud: 11:88) To be given knowledge with an understanding of the deen is a great honour.  *Ability & Opportunity = Tawfeeq*  You may have the opportunity ...

Pulsars are rotating neutron stars|Miracles of Quran|The "Knocker" (Tarek in Arabic طارق)

First, let us look at the one from Miracles of Quran. [2]  It takes 86:1-3 [3] وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ which it translates to And the heaven and the "Knocker" (Tarek in Arabic طارق) How could you know about the "Knocker"? The piercing star (Thakeb in Arabic). and says that it denotes a black hole because The Arabic word "Thukb ثقب" means a hole; "Thakeb ثَّاقِبُ" means the one who makes the hole. The Quran is describing a knocking star that makes a hole. Pulsars are rotating neutron stars. As more matter falls into a neutron star its mass increases and as its mass increases its gravity increases. But gravity is actually curvature of spacetime. A neutron star distorts spacetime. As more matter falls into a neutron star its distortion increases. A point will be reached where distortion would have grown so much that it makes a hole in spacetime. All about Pulsa...

A new day start with Fajr as per the Glorious Quran

Image
Assalamu Alaikum,   I was informed that beginning the Islamic Day with Magrib is incorrect and that this is a Jewish custom. Asr prayer is the midday prayer that we are commanded to perform consistently by the Holy Qur'an, according to practically all muftasirs. The Day should begin at Fajr if Asr must be the mid-prayer. We first want to define a Yaum/Day in terms of Sharia before discussing when it begins in Islam. It is the time when Muslims perform the five required prayers and the Witr. As you are aware, Witr prayers are permitted up until the azan for the Fajr prayer of the next day. Why can't witr be prayed after that? As the new Day has begun, the fury of From Noble Qur’an: a) In Verse 2:238, we are asked to guard strictly the As salawaat (five obligatory prayers), especially the “salawaathul wusta” (mid-prayer). “Guard strictly (five obligatory) As-Salawat (the prayers), especially the middle Salat (i.e., the mid-prayer – ‘Asr). And stand before Allah with obedience [an...
