Image
Prophet Musa was born at the time of Fir’aun also known as Pharaoh. In religion, Islam Musa (AS) is loved and respected because He (AS) is the Prophet and Messenger too. Muslims believed in all Messengers of Allah Almighty and Holy Books which revealed on them. In Holy Quran, Prophet Musa (AS) is mentioned most of the time and His story ranges in several chapters of the Holy Quran. As we all know that messengers of Allah Almighty were sent to convey the message of Allah (SWT) to the people of this world. Prophet Musa (AS) was also sent to the people of Israel to make them worship Allah Almighty and the Holy which was revealed to Him was Torah. In Holy Quran, Allah Almighty says:  “Verily, We did send down the Torah to Moses therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to God’s Will, judged the Jews.  And the rabbis and the priests too judged the Jews by the Torah for to them was entrusted the protection of God’s Book, and they w...

All about Surah Al-Baqarah

Image
To understand what Surah Baqarah is about, it might be helpful to briefly understand what the Quran is all about . The Quran in essence is a narration of God's final engagement with mankind through his Final Messenger and prophet Muhammad (pbuh) . The Message of the Quran is quite simple and straight forward : There is one and only one God and that one day we have to stand trail for our deeds in front of Him. The rest of the Quran just expands on this basic message with proofs and arguments to support it. Moreover, the Quran talks to its direct addressees such as the Jews, the Christians, the Arabs (specifically the Quraysh) of the Prophets time and also those brought faith and to the Messenger himself. Now the Quran is not collection of chapters and verses . It is divinely ordered in the form we know it today. The Qur’an is divided into seven distinct groups and the  surah s within each group occur in pairs. Thus Surah Baqarah and Aal Imran are pairs . This pairing of the...

They, however, refused and were  left to wander in the wilderness of Sinai for forty years . Despite their repetitive transgression, Allah  subhanahu wa ta’ala  did not abandon them completely. In the wilderness of Sinai where there were neither homes to take shelter from the scorching sun nor food to eat, Allah  subhanahu wa ta’ala  sent clouds to protect them for the sun’s heat. Ibn Jarir said that several scholars said that they type of cloud the  ayah  mentions were cooler and better than the type we know. And Allah knows best. Not only the clouds, ...

Allah is All-Forgiving, All-Compassionate.'  (3:32) Say: 'Obey Allah and obey the Messenger.' If they turn away from this then know that Allah does not love those who refuse to obey Him and His Messenger. 28   (3:33) Truly Allah 29  chose Adam and Noah and the descendants of Abraham and of 'Imran 30  above all mankind.  (3:34) (for His messengership) - a people alike and the seed of one another. 31  Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.  (3:35). Surely You alone are All-Hearing, All-Knowing.' 33   (3:36) But when she gave birth to a female child, she said: 'O Lord! I ha...
