 2 Feb 2024   Follow The four stories of Surat Al-Kahf  Surah Al Kahf is a Meccan Surah meaning it was revealed when Prophet Muhammad was in Mecca. It was revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ before the Hijrah/Migration to Medina when the persecution of Muslims and Islam was at its peak. It was revealed somewhere between the 8th and 10th year of Prophethood.  These are the main lessons from the four stories of Surah Al-Kahf.  1. Recognise that Allah is your lord and master, not only of this world, but of all possible worlds, and that He provides for the world and saves it. So they defeated them by permission of Allah, and David killed Goliath, and Allah gave him the kingship and prophethood and taught him from that which He willed. And if it were not for Allah checking [some] people by means of others, the earth would have been corrupted, but Allah is full of bounty to the worlds.  [Quran, 2:251] Avoid disgracing others. " * O, Allah! Grant me understanding of Deen* " If you make this Dua, Insha Allah (God willing) Allah will open the way for you to understand his deen.  *Knowledge & Understanding*   *إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ* *تَعْقِلُونَ*(2:12)  “ *Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an that you might understand* .” (Al-Baqara, 2:12) Many people have knowledge of the Quran but they may not have the understanding of applying it.    We might interpret it differently or understand different so we need Allah's guidance and tawfeeq along with the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw) to understand His religion.  *Understanding & Tawfeeq*   **وَمَا تَوۡفِيقِىٓ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِ‌ۚ*   *and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah*  (Quran Hud: 11:88) To be given knowledge with an understanding of the deen is a great honour.  *Ability & Opportunity = Tawfeeq*  You may have the opportunity ...
